The National Finals Rodeo, best known as NFR, is typically held in Las Vegas every December. The NFR is known as the “super bowl of rodeo” as it showcases the top 15 cowboys and cowgirls in the seven main events of rodeo: bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and tie-down roping.
“We are extremely proud of our team this year featuring some first time qualifiers for the NFR,” boasts Marketing Director Lindsay Perraton of Kimes Ranch. “We have some extremely disciplined and gritty athletes representing us this year. They have worked tireless to get where they are and we are thrilled to get to cheer them on.”
At the end of 10 grueling days of rodeo, a champion in each event will be crowned. Things will look a little different this year. The NFR is being held in Arlington, Texas at Arlington’s Globe Life Field, this year. If you’re at the NFR be sure to keep an eye out for the “jeans with the horns” which the endorsees have sported all season long and will wear with pride at Globe Life Field.
