The Raw James features a mid/low rise with a straight fit and straight boot leg in an untreated, raw denim that will uniquely wear with you to create a one-of-a-kind pair of jeans. An integrated knife pocket and light stitching perfectly accent these traditional jeans.

ABOUT RAW DENIM: This denim is raw and unwashed. It has been dyed with natural indigo. During the first few wears, the excess dye may be transferred onto skin, upholstery, garments, shoes, and your saddle.
Raw denim will shrink to its true size. As a rule of thumb, our raw denim will shrink roughly 1/2 an inch in the waist and 1 to 1.5 inches in length. When buying raw denim, we recommend buying your same Kimes Ranch size, to allow for the perfect fit once the raw denim is washed.
Please use caution when wearing this product to avoid an unwanted color transfer that is out of our control. We recommend washing them inside out, by themselves, and in cold water for the first few washes to help the dye distribute evenly.

These are genuinely my favorite pair of jeans I’ve ever owned I wear them almost daily and they’re fantastic they held up great I carry I bunch of stuff in my pockets and they handled that fantastic I’ve owned these jeans for a year and I’m not nice to them I work in them and I’ve lived my life in them to be honest I’m happy with them and definitely feel like I got my moneys worth and I just bought another pair only minor rips in my back pockets in my right I carry my wallet and my old one had to metal buttons on them and my left a metal case

Worked my pair from at home to the rodeo arena these have been a great product that handles work at any way it comes. Like how they form to your body that makes a comfortable fit from being starched or not. Better get you a pair or two.
I finally found a pair of (raw denim) jeans that work with boots and that are designed for my body type. All those Wranglers have a too high waist, the Levi's 517 as well, and all those Ariats contain elastane and are not raw. I'm 182 cm and weigh 75 kg, and no, I don't have a huge behind. So something slim with mid-low waist and a tough fabric. If this is your profile as well, go get the Raw James - an excellent pair of jeans.

Glad I made the switch over to Kimes jeans. The raw denim was just what I was looking for and they do not disappoint. From fit to durability they are top notch, will be buying these for as long as they make them.
My husband is not easy on jeans, and when he finds a pair he likes, he will wear that pair over and over and over and OVER. These raw denim jeans have far outlasted any other pair or brand of jeans he's owned including cinch, rock and roll, and wrangler. Over a year worth of riding, roping, flanking down calves, and starching to go to events and the only wear they have is on the bottom where he's occasionally walked on the hem with his vans on, and that's a tiny hole at that. Getting on here now to order a new pair because the cow **** stains just wont come out this go-round so the old pair are getting designated for just work. 12/10 on these jeans, very very pleased and WELL worth the money!
The James and the Cal are amazing. I love the fit and feel of the James in raw denim. Can’t wait to see to have the raw west natural. Will refrain from washing to see natural wear. Wish they were a little cheaper but still worth the buy.
I got my first pair of Kimes Ranch Jeans (JAMES) this past Friday. I immediately put them in the wash and dried them for about 10 minutes in the dryer, then I put them on and let them air dry as I wore them. I must say I was extremely pleased with them.
I started wearing 501-STF back in the early 70's... loved them. Loved the way they fit, the way they wore, the thick, heavy, raw denim, etc. I noticed a big change to them in the mid-to-late 90's and eventually switched over to Wranglers. While I was pleased with the Wranglers, I never got the comfortable fit that I had with the old-style 501-STF. I've been seeing Kimes Ranch for about 6-7 years and finally decided to try a pair...the JAMES. I've got to tell you...everything about these jeans 100%. The heavyweight denim, the stitching, the fit, the look...all of it. These jeans are a 10 out of 10 in my opinion. If you make a style with a button fly and keep everything else the same, they'll be an 11/10.

This is probably the best raw denim on the market, I’m usually pretty dedicated to WAYNE but I thought I’d try these on a whim and was definitely glad I did. They wear well and the fit is perfect. These jeans beg for a button fly.
