Sheridan Wyo Rodeo & The 2016 Calgary Stampede Rodeo

I hope you all had an amazing weekend, and a great start to the week!
With that being said, this past weekend I was at the Sheridan rodeo in Wyoming and I was so impressed. It was actually my first time experiencing the Sheridan Wyo rodeo and how professional it was done. They had riders that entered the rodeo from Australia and Canada! In my opinion, if your drawing riders from Australia and Canada your doing something right. If you treat the Contestants right they will go back and tell there buddies and there buddies will tell there other buddies.. 

Here is how the 2016 Sheridan Wyo rodeo played out: 

All-Around Cowboy
Cody Collins, $2,162, tie-down roping and team roping.

Bareback Riding
R.C. Landingham, 85 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Robinson Bulls' Sodoku, $5,224

Steer Wrestling
Dean Gorsuch, 7.2 seconds on two head, $3,150

Team Roping
Luke Brown/Jake Long, 10.1 seconds on two head, $3,776 each

Saddle Bronc Riding
Joe Lufkin, 85.5 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Robinson Bulls' Hermit, $4,597

Tie-Down Roping
Cooper Martin, 18.6 seconds on two head, $3,729

Barrel Racing
Ivy Conrado, 17.22 seconds, $4,809

Steer Roping
Rocky Patterson, 49.1 seconds on four head, $3,985

Bull Riding
Tyler Smith, 89 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Robinson Bulls' Big Tex Rocks, $4,399

One of my favorite things about the Rodeos in Montana and Wyoming is that they have Indian Relay Races! They are SO much fun to watch and seeing the Native Americans get involved in the Western Lifestyle is simply amazing! There is just something amazing about horses and all the joy they can bring to you in or out of the arena. In the photo I posted above of the Indian Relay Horses you'll see that they paint there horses different designs in different colors of neon paint. That's to help the fans keep track of the teams going down the track and for the rodeo announcer to tell them apart. It's pretty neat!

This year at the 2016 Calgary Stampede I teamed up with photographer, Shellie Scott, for the third year in a row! It's always a blast working with Shellie she always does such a great job of taking photos at rodeos and chuckwagon races! Here is a fan favorite of the whole event, Fallon Taylor!! Fallon Taylor didn't walk out of Calgary as a world champion.. But, I'll tell you what! Fallon has a world champion mindset and she still has TONS of opportunities to capture this summer.
