Kimes Ranch is teaming up with Art of the Cowgirl as the title sponsor of the Kimes Ranch World’s Greatest Horsewoman competition. The 2023 Art of the Cowgirl, held January 18-22 at Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, Arizona, is the 5th Annual celebration of western women, horses, and art.
Kimes Ranch World’s Greatest Horsewoman competition presented by Western Horsemen is an elite reined cow horse event styled after the National Reined Cow Horse Association’s World’s Greatest Horseman. Each cowgirl will compete in four preliminary events including herd work, reining, steer stopping, and fence work. The competition generally adheres to NRCHA rules and judging and pays homage to the working cowgirl.
Fifty-eight cowgirls from all over the country are slated to compete in the prestigious event, including 2022 champion Whitney Hall. The ten finalists will compete for the ultimate title, World’s Greatest Horsewoman. Along with an array of prizes, the championship also includes a paid entry in the 2023 NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman competition, held in Ft. Worth, Texas next month.
