Escape the summer heat and head to Flagstaff, July 21-25, 2021, for the Tall Pines Horse Show presented by Kimes Ranch. Located at the Coconino Fairgrounds, the shade of the pines provides a perfect home for a mid-summer horse show. The Tall Pines Horse Show has a focus on ranch and cattle classes, but as a non-sanctioned horse show, with Cutting, Working Cowhorse, Ranch Trail, Ranch on the Rail, Ranch Riding and Halter, there is a class for everyone. The Tall Pines’ generous sponsors have made it possible to present great day awards to those who place 1st through 6th in their respective classes. Each class will award circuit champions and jackpots, as well as high points in every division. The high point divisions include, Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur, Youth, Novice Youth, and Walk-Trot 10 & Under. On top of the jackpots, there will be the opportunity to enter the Open, Amateur, or Boxing Bridle Spectaculars for a shot at the $1500 added.
Although the show will not be affiliated with any organization, exhibitors do not have to have a membership, and horses do not need to be registered, Tall Pines is partnering with APHA to promote the PAC Program. By enrolling in the PAC Program, exhibitors who are showing a paint can have their achievements recorded on the registered horse’s official lifetime performance record.
The excitement does not stop when the scheduled classes are over. With plans to add more special event classes for trainers, non-pros, and the little ones, this show is sure to draw a crowd. Exhibitors will continue to enjoy the horse show with a performance by Grammy nominated, Jeremy McComb, not to mention the free exhibitor BBQ, pancake breakfast, and a Debbie Cooper clinic spread throughout the show. This is going to be a fun show that is talked about all year long and the perfect addition to any summer show schedule!
