Tell us about yourself!
I have a passion for empowering horse owners to make educated decisions for their horse's nutrition, and believe science-based data is the best foundation for formulating equine feeds and supplements. During the 2020 COVID pandemic, I decided to launch a podcast that focused solely on equine nutrition. The result is an internationally recognized podcast called Feed Room Chemist. Each episode breaks down research and complex nutritional topics in a way that is fun and easy to understand. With over 75 episodes, and nearly 250,000 downloads, Feed Room Chemist consistently ranks top 10 in Apple Podcasts' Hobbies category. I am also the Director of Nutrition for Bluebonnet Feeds and Stride Animal Health, so I have an avenue for creating and releasing science-based nutritional solutions for all aspects of the equine industry. This position, often places me in public speaking venues such as the 2021 Cowgirl Gathering and television interview spots such as Inside Reining and Cuttin' Up.
Why do you want to be a part of the Kimes Ranch Family?
My husband is a 7th generation farmer and cattleman, my parents are 5th generation ranchers. I understand what it means to have roots in the western industry, and I feel the need to leave it better than I found it. When I wear the Kimes brand I feel like I am representing the REAL western industry - hard work, family values, and what it means to turn a dream into reality. I am blessed to have a platform as an internationally recognized equine nutritionist which allows me to connect with horse owners across a wide variety of disciplines, and I want to take Kimes along for the ride!
What are your goals for 2022 with this sponsorship?
As an equine nutritionist for Bluebonnet Feeds and Stride Animal Health, and host of Feed Room Chemist podcast, I am in the spotlight for public speaking events, industry shows, television interviews, industry meetings, and video advertising. I would love to make Kimes part of my signature style and personal brand. I want to be part of the Kimes family as a leader and role model in the equine industry in a way that is different from being a horse trainer and competitor. I already find myself constantly "converting" people from other brands over to Kimes because it is a story I can identify with. Kimes, Bluebonnet Feeds, and the "Dr. Jyme" brand share so many of the same values and would be a perfect marriage as all plan to scale up in 2022!
