Personally, it was SO exciting to see Steven Peebles sweep up the title "World Champion". Being an Oregonian it's always exciting to see someone from your hometown bring home a world title.

In the fashion world, I love braids and Flashiness. I was a HUGE fan of the side braid that Callie duPerier wore every single night. I also loved some of Fallon Taylor's outfits that she wore this year. Whoever designed her outfits this year were spot on amazing!! You gotta love Fallon Taylor for getting her fans involved and also taking her fans along for the ride. In reality, what are you without the fans anyways? I mean, if their were no fans watching rodeo today.. where would we be at? Today, thousands of fans from all over the world come and watch rodeo and cheer on their favorite cowboys and cowgirls! It's one of the greatest feelings in the world :)

Let's be real.. I don't know about you guy's but one of the apps I checked out the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo the most was Instagram. I mean, Instagram is one of my favorite apps I'm planning on marketing more in 2016. Instagram has a different vibe and a totally different audience. During the NFR I was marketing in the media industry, and the fashion industry and I created a whole new fan base just by posting pictures / videos / posting my own views. It's kind of cool coming up with your own creations, and seeing what people think from all over the world by clicking on one hash tag.

Last but not least, I thought the NFR was just ok this year. I didn't attend the event in person this year which is really weird, since I usually go every year. But I didn't really watch in on TV either.. I payed close attention to the NFR on social media. I wanted to see what new media ideas they were rolling out this year. To be honest, I didn't notice a lot of new NFR media. Yeah, NFR created a snapchat channel but they hardly every used it, and when they did it would just be of random shots at Cowboy Christmas or maybe the NFR floor. It would of been cool if they had one of the riders take us behind the scenes or featured a stock contractor. One thing I did notice this year at the NFR is that sponsors and folks not even involved with the NFR do more for the event than the actual NFR people running the event. On a side note, I was anxious to see how the feud between PRCA and ERA Rodeo would play out. Kind of funny, ERA Rodeo just released their tour schedule and all the contestant lists except the bull riding list.. Hmm!! Makes you wonder..

Until next time, Shine bright and knock out the lights!!
