November, the calm before the storm

Hello Everyone!

Paige Gregory, here. The owner and founder of RodeoChat. November, is a CRAZY busy month for me. This month, I have been busy planning last minute interviews and thinking of new creative ways  to bring the sport of Rodeo to people all around the world. With that being said, I just recently branched out to SnapChat and created a channel for RodeoChat! At first, I wasn't to sure how it would all workout but in the end it was a HUGE success. Right now, I have been doing a little media tour on Snapchat with my RodeoChat Pro Team Members picking out topics that the RodeoChat fans sent in and than expressing our views on the topic. This weeks topic is "Struggle" , and every single night this week after 5 PM CT you can catch one of my RodeoChat Pro Team Members expressing their views and sharing their stories on the struggle of rodeo.

SnapChat Handle - rodeochat

Just Recently, I did a media tour with 2016 Miss Rodeo Oregon Katie Schrock. Katie took everyone that follows rodeochat on snapchat behind the scenes of the 2016 Miss Rodeo Washington Pageant. We had SO many followers send in questions and comments from all over the world. I have never seen a snapchat channel take you behind the scenes of a rodeo queen pageant before until that night! I like to do things that have never been seen before on RodeoChat, and that's everybody's goal is to do things that have never been done before.. Right :)

P.S. Katie will be making TONS of appearances on snapchat this summer on her 2016 Miss Rodeo Oregon Run.

Interviews in the works:

Lecile Harris, 4 X PRCA clown of the year AND a 2007 inductee of the Pro Rodeo Hall Of Fame.

Mason MaKiel, Young gun battling cancer and spurring his way all the way to the top of the bull riding charts! This interview is the second part of my series with Skylar Smith.

Rodeo News:

As I mentioned, this past weekend the Indian National Finals Rodeo wrapped up. One thing I noticed about the INFR this year is that they stepped up their media game BIG TIME! Not only did they keep their facebook updated with non-stop results they also created a snapchat channel this year that took you behind the scenes of all of the action that was going on. I felt like this year was the year of back to back champions. Check out what I mean by back to back INFR champions below:

Bareback Riding - Buck Lunak
Steer Wrestling - Casey Stone
Team Roping - Elliot Gourneau & Lynn Williams
Saddle Bronc Riding - Jeremy Meeks
Tie-Down Roping - Dillon Sherrick
Barrel Racing - Sloan Anderson
Bull Riding - Slick Phelps
Did I mention, that all of the INFR Champions have also qualified for the RFD - TV The American Qualifier in Ft. Worth, Texas Feb 17 - 21st, 2016! How exciting is that?!?!
In other exciting Rodeo News.. The ERA (Elite Rodeo Assoc.) Is at it again. This time it's..

" Elite Rodeo Association and Star Professional Rodeo Athletes File Class Action Lawsuit Sticking Up For Rights of Cowboys and Cowgirls "

What i'm picking up out of this whole ERA deal is that they want to run the organization just like the PBR. I mean, that's cool and all but just because one Assoc. runs one way doesn't mean it's going to work for another Assoc. I guess what I'm trying to say here is.. Don't copy others, and use your own route into making it big. Full Story

Last but not least, this past weekend there were three big PRCA circuit finals going on. One in Yakima, Washington another in Rock Springs, WY and Heber City, Utah! Matt Shiozawa took the WIN in tie-down roping with 25.5 Seconds on Three head in Utah. Steven Peebles stole the show by taking home the gold buckle in bareback riding with 241 points on three head in Yakima, Washington. Cody Johansen, 160 points on two head to seal the deal in Rock Springs, Wy! To see the full results head on over to .

That's a wrap for this weeks blog post.

Until next time..
