Final Thoughts

Today is the release of my final blog post for Kimes Ranch! I have learned so much throughout this past spring and fall and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have a platform where I am able to have my voice heard. Earlier this afternoon, I was re-reading some of my earlier blog posts and here are a few of my favorites:

1. Showing on a Budget: Part 1 Dressing Yourself

This post was also one of the most popular on social media. I think there are a lot of people who can relate to having to show their horse on a budget. If you haven’t read this one yet, you can get to it by clicking on this link http://www.kimesranch.com/blog-posts/2015/5/18/showing-on-a-budget-part-1-dressing-yourself. Dressing yourself talks about how clothes should fit, how to shop smart and also some DIY tips as well. Remember to stay true to your personal style and make every outfit something special you will feel confident in!

2. Horse Show Trends

Among all the glitter and rhinestones it is hard to pinpoint what type of outfit you should be considering when shopping for show attire. For this post I turned to some top people in the industry to get their take on things. One of my favorite quotes was from Linda Zeise-Ash and she said, “…what it all comes down to is when you walk in that pen you really need to feel like you can win the world so you have to be wearing an outfit that your proud to be in.” I think this is something we can all relate to. You can find this article here: http://www.kimesranch.com/blog-posts/2015/7/20/horse-show-trends.

3. Putting on a Horse Show

This was one of my favorites because when we are busy showing and preparing our horses, we can forget about all the hard work that went into the event. This post really shows what it takes and I hope helps people to appreciate all the time and effort put in to creating a great horse show for all exhibitors. If you follow this link (http://www.kimesranch.com/blog-posts/2015/7/20/horse-show-trends) you will be able to read about my interviews with four different people who helped to put on a wonderful show in Escanaba, MI geared towards people who are just starting to show the AQHA circuit.

There are so many other great posts on the Kimes Ranch blog page by the other bloggers Paige Gregory and Paige Morgan. Kimesranch.com also carries all of the Kimes Ranch apparel products and you can read about the Kimes Ranch Family members who are all professionals in the industry.

I will head off to my last semester of school having learned so much in these last few months. I learned that talking to people I don’t know isn’t the scariest thing in the world. I also learned to just do it. Who cares if someone doesn’t like your idea, there will always be another week for another post. Lastly I learned that friends and family are invaluable when it comes to helping me come up with ideas so thank you to everyone who has put up with me asking “any ideas for my blog this week?” Love you all! Thank you so much to everyone who has read even one of my posts. It means a lot that you find even the slightest interest in something I am passionate about which is showing horses and everything that goes along with it!
